CRABoost – Boosting Sustainable Blue Growth and Innovation in the South Adriatic
The Institute of Food Safety and Veterinary (ISUV), Albania is proud to participate as a project partner in CRABoost (Project No. SA-0300336), funded by the European Union through the Interreg IPA South Adriatic Programme 2021–2027. The project promotes cross-border cooperation among institutions from Italy, Albania, and Montenegro, with the aim of strengthening innovation, sustainability, and the blue economy in the South Adriatic region.
Led by the Mediterranean Agronomic Institute of Bari (CIHEAM Bari), CRABoost brings together six partner institutions that will jointly develop innovative approaches, exchange expertise, and implement coordinated actions to improve sustainable management of marine resources, enhance food quality and safety, and foster scientific and institutional cooperation across the region.
As a project partner, ISUV will contribute through its scientific and technical expertise by supporting laboratory activities, strengthening analytical capacities, participating in joint research initiatives, and promoting knowledge transfer and best practices in food safety and veterinary sciences. The Institute will also actively contribute to project communication, dissemination activities, and the achievement of the project’s expected outputs and long-term impact.
The total project budget amounts to €1,110,204, while ISUV has been allocated a budget of €134,820, with 85% financed by the European Union through the Interreg IPA South Adriatic Programme.
Through CRABoost, ISUV further strengthens its role as a regional partner in European cooperation initiatives, contributing to innovation, sustainable development, and the enhancement of scientific collaboration for the benefit of the environment, food safety, and public health in the South Adriatic area.
